Chris DeWaard joined Sterling in 2024 as the firm’s Client Support lead. She manages foundation governance compliance, state annual and charitable solicitation registrations, invoicing, and all other aspects of compliance in the ever-changing regulatory arena of private foundations. With her high degree of attention to detail, correctness, and diligence, Chris plays a crucial role in overseeing foundation compliance requirements, ensuring clients receive seamless, reliable, and professional support.
Chris has more than a decade of experience in the financial services industry, most recently spending eight years at McLean Mortgage Corporation. Her experience has earned her a reputation as an analytical operations professional who provides practical solutions to diverse challenges.
She has served as treasurer of the Greenway Farm Swim Team and as treasurer of The Loudoun Chorale, a community chorus she has been singing with for twelve years. Additionally, she has led Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University sessions at Leesburg United Methodist Church.
